Patient Care Philosophy:
I work with patients of all ages and phases of life. I recognize patients as complex individuals; I value their unique preferences, and involve them in decision-making to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Rasha Kafi is a board-certified nurse practitioner whose clinical focus is supporting patients through every stage of cancer care at Virginia Cancer Institute’s Petersburg location. Her passion is improving the quality of life for people living with cancer through compassionate, evidence-based care.
At VCI, Rasha provides compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals facing a wide range of cancers, guiding them through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. She has a special interest in supporting patients experiencing depression during treatment or remission, recognizing the emotional as well as physical toll of cancer.
