Patient Care Philosophy:
I hold a deep commitment to loving and caring for others during their most vulnerable times. I believe in building trustworthy and strong relationships, in order to be a steadfast presence for my patients throughout their healthcare journey.
Kaylee Maunz is a driven family nurse practitioner, who focuses on providing comprehensive care for both acute and chronic conditions. Kaylee’s goal is to deliver compassionate, efficient, and individualized care; ensuring each of her patients receive the highest standard of treatment tailored to their unique needs.
Kaylee received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Prior to joining the Virginia Cancer Institute, Kaylee worked as a registered nurse for the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, including time with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond. She has worked with patients of all ages in various practice settings, including adult and pediatric bone marrow transplants and pediatric hematology and oncology.
Kaylee serves the Johnston-Willis Hospital Campus and Midlothian locations. Beyond her clinical duties, Kaylee is an active member of the healthcare community, holding affiliations with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the Oncology Nursing Society. Outside of work, Kaylee enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as her favorite animals, dogs. She also loves being outside, where you can find her running or discovering new local spots for a good meal or cup of coffee.
