To Dr. Yogesh Gandhi, fighting cancer is truly a life passion. He has been
providing quality oncology and hematology care in the Tri-Cities area for the
past 14 years. Along with treating patients, this experienced and highly
regarded oncologist has been very involved in cancer awareness and public
education events in the Tri-Cities area. He’s been an active participant in
the American Cancer Society’s local Relay for Life events. And on the clinical
side, he played a major role in helping John Randolph Medical Center get its
first-ever accreditation by the American College of Surgeons.

An oncologist serving our Tri-Cities patients, Dr. Gandhi is board certified in
medical oncology. He has a particular interest in helping patients with lung,
colon and breast cancer, as well as hematologic malignancies like lymphoma.

Dr. Gandhi earned his Bachelor of Medicine at the M.S. University of Baroda in
India, and he completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at the
University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Chicago. In 1997, he completed his
fellowship in hematology/oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. He began his career as assistant clinical professor at Medical College of Virginia (VCU), where he also worked in Massey Cancer Center’s community outreach program. From there, he relocated to Owensboro, Kentucky, to work as a hematologist/oncologist. He returned to the Tri-Cities area in 2000.

When he is not working with patients to improve their lives, Dr. Gandhi is most likely spending time with his wife and three daughters, playing tennis or table tennis, or taking part in cultural and community activities.
