Kathleen Jones, FNP-BC, received her BS in Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton before going on to earn her MS in Family Nursing and her Certificate as Family Nurse Practitioner. Her goal as a nurse practitioner is to provide patients with accurate information about their condition or diagnosis and to maintain a cooperative relationship with her patients to accomplish desired goals.
Kathleen has worked as a clinical nurse for UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as a registered nurse/nurse educator for UHS – Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, New York, and as a Nurse Practitioner for Tioga Opportunities in Owego, New York and UHS-Perinatal Center in Johnson City, New York. She has been with Virginia Cancer Institute since 2016, where she treats patients of all kinds, with a special research interest in breast cancer.
Kathleen is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
When she isn’t working, you might find Kathleen painting, traveling, or working on home DIY projects. She also spends a lot of time with her daughter, Alannah and their dog, Colbie.
