Aisha Zaidi, MD

Dr. Aisha Zaidi is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist with more than a decade of experience treating a wide range of solid tumors and blood cancers. She has a particular passion for breast cancer care, but her expertise also includes lung, colon, and pancreatic cancers, as well as a variety of hematologic malignancies such as lymphoma. At the Virginia Cancer Institute’s Hanover location, Dr. Zaidi is known for her calm, empathetic demeanor and her commitment to treating patients as whole individuals—mind, body, and soul.
A strong advocate for patient-centered care, Dr. Zaidi blends cutting-edge science with compassion. She believes in empowering her patients through education, precision medicine, and lifestyle modifications that support overall health and healing.
Dr. Zaidi earned her medical degree from University of Health Sciences – Rawalpindi Medical College in Rawalpindi Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at University of Louisville followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at University of Louisville’s Brown Cancer Center. She is a current member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and a board member of the Virginia Association of Hematologists and Oncologists (VAHO), where she is on the Breast Cancer Committee.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Zaidi enjoys dancing, reading, traveling and exploring places with my husband, son and daughter. She is also a founding member of Feed Hungry Now, a nonprofit dedicated to providing education and nourishment to orphans in Pakistan. She is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
